Concrete Batch Operator – Concrete Service

Purpose / General Description:
Concrete Batch Operator is responsible for opening/closing and operating the plant. Operator will maintain the required documentation and records daily/weekly/monthly. Operator will batch and load concrete trucks, as well as ordering inventory needed and inspection of facilities and trucks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Always maintain safety awareness, wear all PPE consistently, perform tasks in a safe manner and ensure others work safely at all times. Bring awareness to issues and potential issues (near-miss) as discovered in all areas of the operation.
  • Clearly understand all expectations for performance, policies, procedures and work requirements, Safety, Quality, Maintenance and Housekeeping.
  • Be an effective team member by setting a proper example, fulfilling responsibilities, keeping commitments to others, communicating effectively and building teamwork within the group.
  • Perform tasks to all scheduled requirements. Respond effectively to changes in plans.
  • Complete all reporting as required accurately and in a timely fashion.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Valid NC Driver License, clean driving record, and have reliable transportation to work
  • Class A CDL or
  • Be willing to complete training for CDL Licensing (training provided by company)
  • Able to lift (up to 75 lbs.), and be physically fit to perform tasks and operate equipment
  • Work independently and diligently with minimal directions, to complete tasks on schedule
  • Communicate well with team members and supervision
  • Apply creativity to solve problems and contribute to the success of the team

General Labor – Block Plant

Purpose / General Description:
General Laborer is responsible for starting, setting up, operating, monitoring, maintaining and shutting down equipment while working to improve performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Housekeeping, Using fork lift to maneuver material.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Always maintain safety awareness, wear all PPE consistently, perform tasks in a safe manner and ensure others work safely at all times. Bring awareness to issues and potential issues (near-miss) as discovered in all areas of the operation.
  • Clearly understand all expectations for performance, policies, procedures and standard work requirements of the various management systems: Safety, Quality, Operations, Maintenance and Housekeeping.
  • Be an effective team member by setting a proper example, fulfilling responsibilities, keeping commitments to others, communicating effectively and building teamwork within the group.
  • Operate forklift with power industrial lift to load and unload block and materials.
  • Perform to all production schedule requirements. Respond effectively to changes or problems in the production environment to ensure the best possible outcomes for all customers.
  • Complete all production and inventory reporting accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Able to communicate (written and verbal) in English
  • Valid NC Driver License and / or have reliable transportation to work
  • Able to lift (up to 50 lbs.) and be physically fit to perform tasks and operate equipment
  • Work independently and diligently with minimal directions, to complete tasks on schedule
  • Communicate well with team members and supervision
  • Forklift Certified preferred but will train

Flatbed Driver

Purpose / General Description:
Flatbed Driver is responsible for operating equipment in a safe and productive manner in all weather conditions and in accordance with all regulations and company standard work, while being courteous to all customers and salespeople. The Flatbed Driver is also responsible for inspecting and maintaining the equipment in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Be an effective team member by setting a proper example, fulfilling responsibilities, keeping commitments to others, communicating effectively and building teamwork within the group.
  • Operate and maintain machinery and support equipment as specified for safety, reliable operation and consistent customer service performance.
  • Maneuver and position items as needed. Respond effectively to schedule changes to ensure the best possible outcomes for all customers.
  • Complete all reporting and recordkeeping as required accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Able to communicate (written and verbal) in English (full proficiency is a plus)
  • Valid NC Driver License, clean driving record, and have reliable transportation to work
  • Valid CDL license, with two years’ experience driving trucks
  • Operate tablets, laptops and workstations using various software platforms
  • Able to lift (up to 50 lbs.), and be physically fit to perform tasks and operate equipment
  • Work independently and diligently with minimal directions, to complete tasks on schedule
  • Communicate well with team members and supervision
  • Apply creativity to solve problems and contribute to the success of the team

Front End Loader Operator – Concrete Service

 

Purpose / General Description:
Front End Loader Operator is responsible for clean up around facilities. Operator may also be responsible for transport of materials to and from storage or processing areas. Load and move materials with as little loss as possible. Some physical labor is required.

  • Clearly understand all expectations for performance, policies, procedures and work requirements, Safety, Quality, Maintenance and Housekeeping.
  • Be an effective team member by setting a proper example, fulfilling responsibilities, keeping commitments to others, communicating effectively and building teamwork within the group.
  • Operate and maintain equipment necessary for moving materials, storing materials, and cleaning facilities.
  • Perform tasks to all scheduled requirements. Respond effectively to changes in plans.
  • Ensure machinery is regularly lubricated, fueled, and cleaned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • One to two years’ experience with front end loader operations
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Class A CDL license from NC preferred, but not required OR
  • Be willing to complete training for CDL Licensing (training provided by company)
  • Valid NC Driver License, clean driving record, and have reliable transportation to work
  • Able to lift (up to 75 lbs.), and be physically fit to perform tasks and operate equipment

Mixer Driver Concrete Service – Aberdeen, Fayetteville, & Lumberton

Purpose / General Description:
Delivery of ready-mixed concrete and other associated products to construction sites within reasonable proximity due to the perish ability of ready-mixed concrete. The daily work schedule may consist of five, up to 12-hour days, with overtime on both a voluntary or mandatory basis for work week as well as on Saturdays, depending upon business level requirements.

SALES COORDINATOR

Purpose/ General Description:
Sales Coordinator will be responsible for sales coordination and support for outside sales representatives. Process responsibilities will include lead generation, reading plans, take-offs, quoting, and following up on projects. Daily entry of information into CRM Software and scheduling of bids.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the masonry materials and how they are used
  • Daily lead generations by utilizing plan sites, reading plans and Specs
  • Communicating with salesmen about upcoming bids, sending plans and specs to the salesmen in a timely manner
  • Provide support to the sales team in a timely manner
  • Help with preparing submittal information
  • Entering information into commence data entry program
  • Communicating with GC and architects to obtain accurate information on projects

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in inside sales of industry related products
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Products
  • Strong Organization, project management, and time management skills
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills (communicate well at all levels within the organization)
